Shaq Mason signed a five year, $45 million contract extension with the Patriots on August 28, 2018. Per Ben Volin of the Boston Globe, Mason received $23.5 million fully guaranteed including a $12 million signing bonus. Mason has $1 million annually tied to per game bonuses. The contract can max out at $50 million as there are yearly incentives for honors with $1 million being earned for each time he is either selected to the Pro Bowl or named All Pro.
